Week 8: July 21-25 Done in CSS Part II

  Hi!

        We discussed about the last part of CSS Part II. After that we made an activity, as usual I failed to make it. Oh! How sad  no one got the activity even though Jessa. In wednesday, we don't had TLE because the school was flooded. So we went home early. In friday, we continued the part II of our activity. After that we just rechecked our activity and I had so many corrections.

       A <span> element used to color a part of a text: <p>My mother has <span style="color:blue">blue</span> eyes.</p>.The <span> tag is  used to group inline-elements in a document. It provides no visual change by itself and a way to add a hook to a part of a text or a part of a document.

Week 7: July 14-18 Relaxed!

Hi!

     As usual, we continued discussing the types of CSS and  typing html tags.Those are the examples.

       A contextual selector are specicified with two tags separated with a space. "Contextual selectors" in CSS allow you to specify different styles for different parts of your document. You can assign styles directly to specific HTML tags, or you can create independent classes and assign them to tags in the HTML. Taken from http://www.english hawaii.edu/zuern/394/Resorces/change_links.html.

Inline style
        The most basic styling, called inline, should be familiar to anyone who knows basic HTML markup. Every tag, from headings to paragraphs and beyond, can be individually styled by specifying attributes withing the tag itself. The styling attributes are simply placed after the tag selector (in our example, the selector is either the “h1″, “h2″, or “p” parts of the tags) and before the closing angle of the beginning tag.The folllowing figure illustrates.

                                       Positioning

         Absoluteplaces an element in relation to the actual browser window. The position of the element moves along with the rest of thecontent when the page is scrolled.

         Relative: specifies how the element will be positions relative to how it would have been positioned by default.

       Fixed: places an element in relation to the actual browser window. The position of the element remains fixed even when the page   is scrolled.

       Taken from http://www.1keydata.com/css-tutorial/position.php.

                                                                       Very Good!
       Now I know. Yes I did it! But I'm not yet done so I finished it after our classes in the afternoon. In wednesday,I joined in the nutri-jingle quiz but I did'nt won, I just tried my best. So I did'nt attend during our TLE class.

Week 6: July 7-11 Frustrated!

Hi!

         Haist. I'm so frustrated in this week because Sir gave us long quiz. He made us ready in the first day but I didn't practice it. I don't care because I don't know. So I got 0 out of 65. Ouch! It's a big mistake! After the quiz, I think so much like in the first grading I will got low grade or line of 7 grade in TLE. No! No! No way! I don't like to make it happen because I'm graduating and I like to be on top. So I must study well.

         On the next day,we fixed our quiz and I realized that I had many corrections. So I let Leslie to teach me and I learned more on to her.Thank you Leslie. We discussed and Sir gave us an online activity score.I'm so frustrated again!

         Better luck next time again.

Week 5: June 30-July 4 Just Got Lucky!

Hi!

       We discussed about the types of  CSS. It is embedded, inline and external. After the discussion, in the another next day we did some activities using the three types of CSS. Yes! I did it so I got 2. After that, we did another activity. We just edited our previous activity because it is the same. So I got 4, another achievement. I'm so very happy because I got 2 and 4 in our previous activity even if it low score. I'm very thankful.:)
       There are three types of CSS styles:
  • inline styles
    Inline styles are styles that are written directly in the tag on the document. Inline styles affect only the tag they are applied to.
    <a href="" style="text-decoration: none;">
  • embedded styles
    Embedded styles are styles that are embedded in the head of the document. Embedded styles affect only the tags on the page they are embedded in.
    <style type="text/css">
    p { color: #00f; }
    </style>
  • external styles
    External styles are styles that are written in a separate document and then attached to various Web documents. External style sheets can affect any document they are attached to.
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.css"                                                                                                                   -taken from http://webdesign.about.com/od/css/qt/aatypesofcss.htm

         We just continued discussing and typing  the CSS part II. I can't move on 15.10 but how many times I checked it. I also asked it to Jessa but she can't also found what is wrong. So she let me to proceed on 15.12. I am very innocent in computer so I should study  well by reading, practicing and others. Gosh! I need to become faster to improve my skills.

3rd week: June 16-20 Mastering CSS

Hi!

      We discussed about the tags yet I can't understand. Sometimes Sir asked a question to me, I can also answer and others not. I'm not related on our discussion but I'm always trying my best. We did some activities like creating our own html tags. After the class, the school was flooded because of heavy rains which affected the batch 3.

       Sir also gave us an online quiz. I don't know what will I answer. I searched it in google but I can't found  so I got the low score. Ouch!

2nd week: June 9-13 Learning CSS

Hi!

           Our first lesson was CSS. What is CSS? From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Cascading  Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in markup language. While most often used to style web pages and user interfaces written in HTML and XHTML, the language can be applied to any kind of XML document, including plain XML, SVG and XUL. CSS is a cornerstone specification of the web and almost all web pages used CSS style sheets to describe their presentation.

       We discussed the CSS part I and  about the fonts,backgrounds and others.While we are typing, Sir asked a question to us. Sometimes I could answer them and sometimes not. I don't know what would I answer and what would going to do first. I'm very thankful because Jessa is my seatmate. So I could ask question to her when I failed to do the activities and html tags.

         A style is very grandly, elegant and fashionable. I don't know what was talked about by Sir so I must read the CSS part 1. I enjoys typing and I like the papa bear and happy birthday.  I'm not yet done in CSS part I because of slowness in typing. I try my best to understand our discussion and lessons.

Week 1: June 2-6 My First Experiences in my whole life.

Hi!

          First day in TLE Computer was intense. I was very nervous in this subject because since 1st year-3rd year I never tried to took up Computer. Actually, I don't like but now no choice whether I like it or not. So why should I complain? There's nothing to worry because Sir is kind and I know I will learn more to him.

          A short recap lessons who took up Computer last year.Yeah! TLE Food and Technology  was saved but O.P. While they reciting, I  had no idea and I think it would be difficult for me. What is HTML? It is the Hypertext Mark up Language. It was familiar for me but I can't recall it.

       From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
        HTML or HyperText Markup Language is the standard markup language used to create web pages.It  is written in the form of HTML elements consisting of tags enclosed in angle brackets (like <html>). HTML tags most commonly come in pairs like <h1> and </h1>, although some tags represent empty elements and so are unpaired, for example <img>. The first tag in a pair is the start tag, and the second tag is the end tag (they are also called opening tags and closing tags).
          Sir  arranged are seats and we will be having 3rd batch. Yehey! I love it. So we need to sacrifice our lunch because every monday and tuesday, 11:30-12:30 is our journalism class. We made our gmail account.  I can do it! Nobody said it is very easy.
